The Ancestral Puebloans are better known as the Anasazi, a Native American culture that dominated the American Southwest (specifically the Four Corners region) from around 200 BC until the societies collapse around 1300 AD. This book covers the growth of the society from humble pit dwellings to the awe-inspiring cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde and massive pueblos of Chaco Canyon, how they lived, how they survived in the arid desert climate and what ultimately caused the collapse of a society linked by roads stretching hundreds of miles, long before European settlers knew there was a whole “New World” out there.
America's Southwestern Treasures is currently in the works. More information will be available here once the book is closer to publication.
Let's hope it gets good ones soon!
